Product Overview

NM450 is a high-strength wear-resistant steel plate following the GB/T 24186-2009 standard, whose wear resistance and strength are steadily improved on the basis of NM400. This product has an excellent balance between hardness, toughness and workability, and is suitable for wear environments with moderate impact conditions, making it a cost-effective wear-resistant solution.

Core properties and benefits

   Excellent wear resistance: Hardness up to HBW 420-480, significantly better than NM400.

   Good toughness match: Increased hardness while retaining sufficient toughness to cope with impacts.

   Moderately difficult to machine: NM450 is easier to cut, bend and weld than higher grade wear-resistant steels.

   Cost-effective: NM450 is the most cost-effective choice for applications requiring more wear resistance than NM400, but with a slight performance premium over NM500.
